Ministry of Environment issues order for Domtar to monitor for mercury contamination

A legal battle may be brewing between the provincial government and pulp and paper company Domtar over who is responsible for the mercury cleanup of the Wabigoon River.

The Ministry of the Environment and Climate Change (MOECC) issued a draft director's order on Monday, May 29 to determine if the Dryden mill site is an ongoing source of mercury contamination.
