Pöyry awarded Environmental Impact Assessment assignment for KaiCell Fibers' biorefinery in Paltamo, Finland

Pöyry has been awarded with an assignment from KaiCell Fibers Ltd for the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) of the company's biorefinery planned for Paltamo, Kainuu province in North East Finland.

The scope of the assignment covers the EIA, which will pave the way for the biorefinery's permit processes, also included in the assignment.

Located in Paltamo, KaiCell Fibers is a biorefinery project which aims to process fibre-wood from the Kainuu area for use in new and existing bioproducts. The project brings together strong expertise from various parts of forest-based bioeconomy.

With their help we will make KaiCell a responsible player processing Finnish fibre-wood. The value of the order is not disclosed. The order will be recognised within the Industry Business Group order stock in H2/2017.
