From February 4 to 7, Montréal will be hosting Paperweek Canada 2019 and Biofor International 2019.
FPInnovations is more than happy to be part of these two international events of high interest for scientific and industrial partners of the pulp, paper, and bioproducts sectors, where the organization will hold an active part on various platforms.

Stéphane Renou, president and CEO at FPInnovations, will be giving the opening speech at the Biofor conference. FPInnovations, a world leader in the research for Canada’s forest industry, builds on the huge potential of the Canadian forest sector to help the industry stay at the forefront of the global forest bioeconomy sector.
Nanocellulose Research Symposium
On February 7, as part of its program, Paperweek will be holding a Nanocellulose Research Symposium. Upon its dissolution, the Network of Centres of Excellence ArboraNano concluded an agreement with FPInnovations, under the supervision of John Schmidt, Manager, University Partnerships & Research Planning, to launch a research and development program aimed at solving key technological challenges; six challenges identified by experts led to seven collaborative research projects that will be presented as part of the symposium. Oral presentations in the morning will be followed by poster presentations in the afternoon.
