Join us for a series of workshops on FSC Canada’s National Forest Stewardship Standard Caribou requirements.

From March 21-23, 2022 FSC Canada will host daily online workshops aimed at helping forest management companies and those involved in conservation planning to meet caribou requirements.

Workshops will showcase new projects on monitoring the effectiveness of FSC Canada’s caribou management requirements; address some of the challenges and solutions when implementing caribou requirements; and how to better engage Indigenous communities and environmental groups.

Simultaneous Translation will be available for all sessions in both English and French.

With the launch of FSC Canada’s National Forest Stewardship Standard in 2019, forest management companies and certification bodies have had 2 years to implement FSC’s updated requirements. During this time, some concerns regarding caribou management requirements have been raised. Join us to learn about how FSC Canada is addressing these concerns and providing clarification and/or interpretations.

During this session we encourage all participants to share their own experiences and suggestions to better caribou conservation.
