Green Bay Packaging Inc. Selects Voith as Full Process Line Supplier for New Green Bay Paper Mill

Asset will Significantly Increase Company's Production and Product Quality Capabilities

GREEN BAY, WI – Green Bay Packaging Inc. has selected Voith to supply a full line of equipment for its new paper mill in Green Bay, Wisconsin. The new mill, showcasing cutting edge technology, will be operational in 2021.

The 300" trim, 100% recycled paper machine with a design speed of over 3,900 FPM will utilize old corrugated containers and mixed waste for the fiber supply to produce linerboard and corrugated medium.

"The innovative technology Voith will be implementing in this new full-line machine is vital for Green Bay Packaging to remain responsive to increasing consumer needs and expectations. We will work closely with Voith to begin training our existing workforce to effectively run this state-of-the-art system. Our goal is to safely execute this project with an industry-leading startup curve." added Matt Szymanski, Vice President of Mill Operations.

Green Bay Packaging Inc. plans to break ground on construction of its new Green Bay Mill by early Fall 2018.

Full-system partner, Voith Paper, whose North American headquarters is based in Wisconsin, and Voith company MERI Environmental Solutions, will complete the installation of the XcelLine paper machine as well as its corresponding subsystems, including a BlueLine stock preparation system, VariFlex winder, a reject handling system and an effluent treatment plant to name a few.
