Greenpaper rebuilds the press section and increases the pre-dryer section of paper machine 3

GREENPAPER is a 100% Mexican company with more than 70 years of experience in the production of kraft papers and coated board for the manufacture of packaging. Based on the existing know-how and the range of high quality products, Greenpaper‘s main focus is to satisfy the needs of the packaging industry in harmony with the environment. To achieve this, the company invests in modern production methods.

In the first months of the year, just before the COVID-19 pandemic, the assembly and commissioning of the joint conversion project with Bellmer took place. The works included a new TurboPress shoe press and rebuild of the last dryer group in the pre-dryer section – a third dryer section was installed here. Bellmer also carried out the aerothermal and hood rebuild of said modification.
In a previous machine upgrade, Greenpaper installed a TurboJetter headbox and a TurboFormer on the same machine. The PM3 produces coated board from recycled fibre with a paper width of 3,380 mm from 250 – 487 g/m². The installation of the new shoe press and the rebuild of the dryer section already brought the desired positive quality and quantity enhancements.

The joint PM3 rebuild project between Bellmer and Greenpaper began in 2018, and the PM1, on which packaging papers are produced, has already been modernised together with Bellmer.
