During the last year the number of installations of OMET ASV line – the new completely automated OMET interfolding line for the production of interfolded towels and facial tissues - continued to grow at a rapid pace.

Particularly, ASV has been appreciated for its high modularity, ease of use, productivity and flexibility.

Some examples of the unique features included in the new ASV line are the possibility to automatically change the width of the clips directly from the HMI, the possibility to automatically change parent roll without stopping the line and the motorized system to change cut-off.

Furthermore, the innovative folding system of the new ASV line uses a vacuum technology specifically designed and patented by OMET that evenly distributes the vacuum suction along the entire length of the folding rollers thus guaranteeing an extremely accuracy of the fold and higher productivity. In addition, the new OMET patent makes maintenance of the folding rolls extremely simple, fast and inexpensive.

“We envision how a tissue converting plant should be in 10, 20 years from now and create new technical solutions that go in that direction. Our clients need more automated and interconnected machinery that guarantee higher productivity, better quality and a safer work environment. OMET ASV line was built with these goals in mind and that’s the secret of its success.” says Francesco Ponziani, Vice President of OMET North America.
