Atlantic Packaging Products, Ltd., a Canadian-owned and operated company, has announced the opening of its newest manufacturing plant in Hamilton, Ontario.
The state-of-the-art facility, set to officially open on October 10, 2024, represents a significant expansion for the Scarborough-based packaging solutions provider.
The new plant was developed in response to growing customer demands and aims to enhance Atlantic Packaging's ability to deliver sustainable, high-quality packaging solutions while increasing capacity to support customer growth. This expansion also demonstrates the company's commitment to the local community by creating new job opportunities in Hamilton.
Irving Granovsky, Chairman of Atlantic Packaging, emphasized the customer-centric approach behind the new facility, stating, "We built this facility with our customers in mind, it's not just about expanding our capabilities; but about being able to respond quickly to our customers' needs and support the growth of their businesses."
Sean Weir, President of Atlantic Packaging, expressed excitement about the company's integration into Hamilton's growing economy and thanked the city for its support throughout the building process. Kelly Albert, SVP Ontario Corrugated at Atlantic Packaging, highlighted the investment as a means to continue providing sustainable packaging solutions at a high service level.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony will feature Hamilton Mayor Andrea Horwath, who praised the investment for its potential to create well-paying jobs and strengthen the local supply chain for the food and beverage sector. Horwath also noted that Atlantic Packaging's focus on sustainability aligns with Hamilton's economic and ecological development priorities.
