On Thursday Millar Western Forest Products announced an agreement with Canfor Corporation to sell its wood products assets, including lumber mills and woodlands operations, to Canfor for $420 million.
“We look forward to welcoming approximately 550 Millar Western employees, including the lumber mill employees in Whitecourt, to the Canfor team,” Michelle Ward, Canfor communications director, told the Whitecourt Star .
