CMPC has officially inaugurated its new U.S. branch, CMPC Forest Products, in Atlanta, Georgia, marking a strategic move to enhance service and deepen relationships with North American clients.

The inauguration, held on May 12, brought together nearly 20 clients from CMPC’s pulp, boxboard, sack kraft, and wood businesses. Guests were welcomed into the company’s newly remodeled offices and participated in a series of events aimed at reinforcing collaboration and mutual growth.

“This step allows us to be closer to our clients in the United States and respond more quickly to their needs, providing a top-tier service right up to delivery,” said Francisco Ruiz-Tagle, CEO of CMPC Companies.

CMPC Forest Products has been operational since January 1, 2024, and is the result of a joint venture with International Forest Products (IFP). The 24-person team based in Atlanta oversees sales and logistics services across CMPC’s operations.

Dan Kraft, President and CEO of IFP, highlighted the strength of the partnership: “We are proud to continue building a solid relationship with CMPC, one that enables us to offer comprehensive solutions to clients in the United States.”

The move aligns with CMPC’s 2030 Strategy, reinforcing its commitment to sustainable growth and expanding its international presence while keeping customer proximity at the forefront.
