IP board member retires

A board member for one of Memphis' largest public companies has retired.

According to a Jan. 2 filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Admiral Jay L. Johnson retired from International Paper Co.'s (IP) board of directors effective Dec. 31, 2018. A director has to retire from the company's board the year he or she hits 72 years old.
