The Paper Excellence Group has officially rebranded as Domtar, following the operational integration of Domtar Corporation, Resolute Forest Products, and the legacy Paper Excellence business.
This newly unified company, now operating under the Domtar name, positions itself as a leader in North America's forest products industry. The integration consolidates the strengths, resources, and expertise of these entities, promising future growth, innovation, and a steadfast commitment to environmental responsibility.
The rebranding reflects more than a name change. Domtar’s new brand identity, symbolized by a logo featuring a seedling, represents the company’s dedication to fostering growth and sustainability. The seedling embodies the start of a new chapter while honoring the progression from humble beginnings to a mature, global enterprise. "Today marks a new and important chapter in Domtar's journey, representing the bright future ahead of us," said John D. Williams, non-executive chairman of Domtar's Management Board. He emphasized that the integration allows Domtar to better serve customers, strengthen stakeholder relationships, and drive industry-wide innovation.
Despite the rebranding, Domtar's leading product lines—including pulp, paper, packaging, tissue, and wood products—will continue to be marketed under their existing brand names. Domtar will leverage the combined capabilities of the merged companies to enhance its product offerings for a global clientele. Updated commercial information will soon be available on Domtar’s website, but in the meantime, customers can access details via the legacy sites of the respective brands.
The company’s corporate offices will remain in Fort Mill, South Carolina, Richmond, British Columbia, and Montreal, Quebec, and its physical locations and production facilities will not be affected by the change.
