Resolute’s thermomechanical pulp (TMP) biorefinery in Thunder Bay (Ontario) has won the silver Edison Award in the Manufacturing, Logistics & Transportation category.

Named after Thomas Alva Edison, the Edison Awards recognize and honor innovative products, services and business leaders from around the world. Each year, over 150 companies from all over the world are honored with an Edison Award, including Fortune 500 companies.

Our TMP-Bio plant uses a patented technology developed by FPInnovations for the commercial production of large quantities of biosourced chemicals, and is a step towards opening up new markets for the forest products sector within the biochemical products supply chain.

By using forest products in innovative ways and developing sustainable alternatives to petroleum-based products, Resolute is adding value to North America’s forest products sector and accelerating the global transition to a cleaner and circular economy. We will continue to respond to increasing market demand for sustainable bioproducts and manufacturing processes that will benefit future generations.
