Kruger has introduced the Joseph Kruger II Scholarship Program, an annual initiative aimed at supporting the academic success of employees' children.

Launched in the spring of 2024 at the initiative of Kruger's Chairman and CEO, the program provides post-secondary scholarships through a random draw among eligible applicants across all company divisions.

The first edition received over 350 applications, far surpassing expectations. In response to this strong interest, Kruger increased the number of scholarships from the originally planned 40 to 100. Each recipient was awarded $5,000, bringing the total funding to $500,000 for the inaugural year.

Kruger sees this initiative as a meaningful addition to its employee benefits, reinforcing its commitment to the well-being of its workforce and their families.

Founded in Montréal in 1904, Kruger Inc. has become a key player in pulp and paper, tissue products, renewable energy, and recycled packaging. With over 6,000 employees across Canada and the U.S., Kruger has long emphasized sustainable practices.
