Antalis, a leading European distributor of paper, packaging, and visual communication solutions, has recently expanded its market presence with several strategic acquisitions.
These include the purchase of Plaesa, a Spanish packaging distributor, and Pakella, which specializes in manufacturing and distributing industrial and food packaging in Latvia, Lithuania, and Estonia. These moves bolster Antalis' footprint in the growing packaging market.
Additionally, Antalis acquired the EMEA Xerox paper business, gaining exclusive distribution rights for Xerox-branded paper across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. This acquisition strengthens Antalis' position in the office paper sector and aligns with its strategy of expanding into high-potential markets.
It's important to note that these acquisitions, including Pakella, are subject to customary conditions, such as approval from relevant competition authorities. For instance, the acquisition of Pakella is pending approval from the Latvian competition authority.
These deals, alongside earlier acquisitions of Tecnoprimaf in Italy and 100 Metros Group in Portugal, reflect Antalis' commitment to growing its portfolio in Europe and beyond.
