Bellmer to Acquire Rolotipo in Brazil

International News

Bellmer GmbH, a German supplier of paper and board machinery, plans to acquire Brazilian roll service specialist Rolotipo to expand its service capabilities in Brazil and across Latin America.

Announced on October 5, the transaction is expected to close in early 2027, subject to customary closing conditions.

Based in Guarulhos, Brazil, Rolotipo provides roll covering and mechanical services for customers in the paper, pulp, graphic arts and steel industries. Founded in 1971, the company specializes in rubber roll coverings, roll grinding, drilling, dynamic balancing, shaft manufacturing and other specialized mechanical services.

The acquisition is intended to combine Bellmer’s equipment and process expertise with Rolotipo’s capabilities in roll covering and maintenance. Bellmer said the broader service offering would support customers throughout the operating life of their production equipment.

“Rolotipo’s strong reputation, technical expertise and customer-focused culture make the company an excellent fit for our long-term growth strategy,” said Klaus-Ulrich Kollmar, financial manager at Bellmer GmbH.

Bellmer expects the acquisition to strengthen its presence in Brazil, drawing on Rolotipo’s established infrastructure, experienced workforce and research and development activities.

Marco Antonio de Angelis, director of Rolotipo, said the combination brings together Rolotipo’s more than five decades of experience with Bellmer’s technology and international presence, while creating opportunities to introduce new technologies and services to the Brazilian pulp and paper market.
