Bracell, a global leader in the production of soluble cellulose, has completed the acquisition of OL Papéis Ltda, a tissue paper company based in Brazil.

The acquisition includes OL Papéis' assets in Feira de Santana, São Gonçalo dos Campos, and Pombos, and marks Bracell's entry into the tissue market.

OL Papéis, founded in 2007, holds the second position in market share of toilet paper in the Northeast region of Brazil. Its operations encompass five brands of toilet paper, five brands of paper towels for the kitchen and napkins, and one for diapers.

Bracell's director-general of Tissue, Eduardo M. Aron, said that the acquisition of OL Papéis' operations and brands is a key element in Bracell's tissue plan in the country.

The acquisition aligns with Bracell's ambition to expand its tissue business and develop better and competitive tissue products.
