DS Smith, a leading provider of sustainable packaging solutions, has announced an investment of over €25 million in its Polish operations.
This investment is aimed at expanding production capacity and accelerating the adoption of sustainable packaging solutions in the region.
The funds will be allocated to upgrade and expand facilities in Kielce, Bełchatów, and Sosnowiec. Key investments include:
- Kielce: A new Bobst Masterline 2.1 die-cutter will be installed, enhancing automation and precision in the flexography department.
- Bełchatów: A new production line will be dedicated to the DS Smith EasyBowl solution for fresh food packaging.
- Sosnowiec: The facility will receive machinery upgrades to boost the production of sustainable paper bags for the eCommerce sector.

The investment is expected to increase DS Smith's annual packaging production capacity in Poland by approximately 25 million square meters and glued box production by 7.5 million square meters. By prioritizing plastic reduction and CO2 emissions, DS Smith is driving a positive impact on the environment and contributing to a more sustainable future.
