Ence has received FSC® Ecosystem Services Certification for biodiversity promotion and preservation in two new woodland areas in Spain: Los Rasos (Huelva) and Cernadas (A Coruña).
These areas add 178 and 24 hectares, respectively, to Ence's certified land.
With this new certification, Ence now has 2,135 hectares certified for the Biodiversity Ecosystem Service, demonstrating its commitment to environmental improvement and sustainable development. The FSC® certification recognizes Ence's focus on habitat protection and its social and environmental values.
This achievement reaffirms Ence's dedication to sustainable forest management, which benefits the environment and local communities. It also supports biodiversity preservation and climate change mitigation through carbon dioxide capture. The certification aligns with Ence's Biodiversity Plan, which promotes ecosystem service certification and enhances the natural capital of its forests.
