Ence said it has met the sustainability targets established for fiscal year 2025 under its sustainability-linked commercial paper program registered on Spain’s Alternative Fixed Income Market (MARF), which has a maximum nominal amount of €200 million.

The company said compliance with the targets was independently verified by G-Advisory in accordance with the Sustainability-Linked Bond Principles developed by the International Capital Market Association (ICMA).

According to Ence, the program included two main performance objectives related to workplace safety and environmental performance. The company said it achieved an accident frequency rate significantly below the Spanish industry average, exceeding the improvement target established for 2025.

Ence also reported a reduction in the average number of odor minutes at its biorefineries compared with the baseline period, surpassing the environmental target defined under the financing framework.

The company said the results support its broader strategy focused on operational efficiency, safety and continuous improvement across its industrial operations.

Ence is a Spanish producer of renewable cellulose and renewable energy. The company operates pulp and bioenergy facilities and focuses on forest-based products and industrial sustainability initiatives.
