Metsä Board has released its Annual Review 2025, offering a comprehensive view of the company’s financial, governance and sustainability performance for the year ended December 31, 2025. The report is available in Finnish and English.
It includes the Financial Statements, the Report of the Board of Directors, the Corporate Governance Statement and the Remuneration Report. The Financial Statements comply with European Single Electronic Format (ESEF) requirements and are published as XHTML files, with statements and notes tagged in XBRL.
KPMG Oy Ab provided independent limited assurance on both the ESEF Financial Statements and the Sustainability Statement, conducted under the ISAE 3000 (Revised) standard. The Sustainability Statement aligns with the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS) and the EU Taxonomy Regulation.
Metsä Board also published content indices aligned with the SASB Pulp & Paper Products industry standard—based largely on assured sustainability data—along with TCFD and TNFD disclosures, which are not subject to external verification.
PDF versions of the Annual Review and the Remuneration Report, as well as a ZIP file containing the ESEF Financial Statements, are available on the company’s investor website. A standalone Sustainability Review, outlining key targets and achievements for 2025, is scheduled for publication in March 2026.
Metsä Board produces folding boxboard, foodservice board and white kraftliner using traceable Northern European wood fibres. In 2025, the company reported €1.8 billion in sales and employed approximately 1,900 people. Metsä Board is part of Metsä Group, whose parent company, Metsäliitto Cooperative, is owned by around 90,000 Finnish forest owners.
