Mondi, a prominent player in the sustainable packaging and paper industry, has announced that it has switched more than 95% of its release liners and extrusion solutions to base paper sourced from PEFC and FSC™ certified materials.

This transition marks a significant step towards responsible sourcing and increased transparency within the supply chain.

The move is part of Mondi's broader commitment to sustainability, emphasizing the importance of using paper from responsibly managed forests. By adopting certified sources, the company aims to enhance traceability and support environmentally responsible practices in its production processes.

Jurgen Van der Donck, Sales and Business Development Director for Functional Paper and Films at Mondi, highlighted the company's alignment with its MAP2030 goals, which focus on circular packaging solutions and climate action. He noted that offering a product portfolio made from certified paper is essential to these commitments.

This development not only reflects Mondi's dedication to sustainability but also positions the company to better meet the growing demand for eco-friendly packaging solutions in an increasingly environmentally conscious market.
