The Papeteries des Vosges et du Leman group (PVL), a prominent player in the global baking paper industry, has announced a significant expansion plan for its Primabake product line.
This initiative aims to double the production capacity of Primabake to approximately 65,000 metric tons per year by the end of 2027, in response to the growing demand for eco-friendly baking paper.
Primabake is a premium, PFAS-free baking paper known for its sustainability and performance. It is widely used by brand owners and private label manufacturers around the world. The expansion will involve increasing production capacity on the PM6 machine located in Publier, in the French Alps, and enhancing collaboration with Papeterie des Vosges (PDV) in Laval-sur-Vologne. PDV specializes in light specialty papers and, together with Papeteries du Leman (PDL), forms part of PVL Holdings.
Hervé Brunet-Jailly, the product manager for Primabake, highlighted the successful qualification of Primabake at PDV among select customers earlier this year. This achievement allows for identical production at both Publier and PDV locations, ensuring a reliable supply to meet customer needs. Grégoire Chavanne, general director of PDV, emphasized the investment in assets on the PM8 machine to support smooth production alongside PDV's existing product range.
Stéphane Barbereau, general director of PDL, stated that the expansion underscores PVL's commitment to sustainability and quality. By doubling Primabake's capacity, the group aims to better serve the expanding market and maintain a steady supply of its premium baking paper.
