The Saica Group will invest over €100 million in a new factory for its Saica Pack division in Sant Esteve Sesrovires, Barcelona.
The facility will unify operations from two existing sites and feature advanced technology for sustainable packaging. Construction will begin this summer, with machinery installation expected by the end of 2024.
During the transition phase, the existing facilities in Barcelona and El Prat will continue their operations until the new factory becomes fully operational. This approach ensures seamless continuity of service for customers. Moreover, Saica Pack is offering its nearly 300 employees from both plants the opportunity to transfer to the new location, demonstrating the company's commitment to its workforce.
The investment reinforces Saica's commitment to the national packaging market and its Catalan customers.
