Suzano S.A. announced that its 2024 market pulp production will be reduced by approximately 4% compared to its nominal capacity.

The decision, according to the company, is driven by the current complexity of the pulp market, which would not generate adequate returns at full production levels. However, Suzano reassured its shareholders and investors that this adjustment will not impact its ability to meet obligations to clients and suppliers.

The company emphasized that its major project, the Ribas do Rio Pardo unit (formerly known as the Cerrado Project), remains on track as previously announced. Suzano confirmed that the unit will continue to operate as expected, producing 900,000 tons of market pulp by the end of 2024.

The company assured stakeholders that, despite the production adjustment, Suzano remains committed to maintaining strong relationships with its clients and suppliers and fulfilling its contractual obligations without disruption.
