Mondi Maintains Top 1% Ranking in EcoVadis Sustainability Ratings

Mondi has once again earned Platinum status in EcoVadis’ annual Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) ratings, placing it among the top 1% of companies globally for the ninth consecutive year. 

The company improved its overall score to 92%, up from 87% in 2024.

EcoVadis assesses companies on environmental practices, labor and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement. The 2025 results reflect Mondi’s ongoing integration of sustainability into its business operations and value chain.

“This recognition reflects our long-standing commitment to embedding sustainable practices and highlights how integral sustainability is to Mondi’s strategy and commercial success,” said Gladys Naylor, Mondi Group Head of Sustainable Development. “EcoVadis supports our engagement with both suppliers and customers, helping us to drive progress across our value chain.”

Sustainability Strategy and Business Scope

Mondi employs approximately 24,000 people in over 30 countries, with operations covering the full packaging and paper value chain. The company’s sustainability strategy targets circular solutions, climate action, and employee empowerment, with measurable goals set for 2030.

In 2024, Mondi reported revenues of €7.4 billion and an underlying EBITDA of €1.0 billion. It is listed on the London Stock Exchange as a FTSE100 company, with a secondary listing on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange.

EcoVadis evaluates over 100,000 companies worldwide, and its rating system is widely used by procurement and supply chain professionals to assess the CSR performance of suppliers.

Mondi’s continued Platinum rating underscores its consistent performance in sustainability metrics and its role in promoting responsible practices in the packaging and paper industry.
