The Chemistry Industry Association of Canada (CIAC) announced that Greg Moffatt has been appointed as its new President and CEO.
"Greg emerged as the clear choice to lead the CIAC into the future," said Rocky Vermani, Chair of the CIAC Board of Directors. "He brings significant experience in public affairs and a deep understanding of the Canadian chemistry industry."
Moffatt has a long history with CIAC, having served in various roles within the organization for nearly nine years. He most recently served as Executive Vice President, leading on key policy initiatives and overseeing CIAC operations.
"I am committed to championing Responsible Care and driving strategic advocacy for Canada's chemistry and plastics sector," said Moffatt. "We will foster industry impact through collaboration and maintain the highest standards of integrity and accountability."
The Board of Directors expressed confidence in Moffatt's ability to navigate the complex political and economic landscape facing the industry. They also acknowledged the significant contributions of outgoing President and CEO, Bob Masterson, who led the association for nine years.
CIAC represents Canada’s chemistry and plastics sector leaders: innovators, solution providers, and world-class stewardship pioneers.
