Hood Container Corporation, a leading name in the containerboard and packaging industry, announced today that Alan Clark will assume the role of President and Chief Operating Officer effective January 1, 2025.
This follows the retirement of Charlie Hodges, who founded Hood Container and has led the company for the past 12 years.
Hodges, a veteran of the pulp and paper industry with nearly 50 years of experience, previously held senior positions at companies such as Union Camp Corporation, Georgia Pacific Corporation, and Port Townsend Paper Company.
"Alan has a proven track record of success since joining Hood Container in October 2023," said Hodges. "His leadership experience at companies like Jackson Paper and Harper Love, combined with his focus on problem-solving and continuous improvement, will undoubtedly drive the company's continued growth and success."
In his new role, Clark will prioritize enhancing operational efficiency, fostering a strong company culture, and driving commercial excellence.
"I am thrilled to join the talented team at Hood Container at this exciting time," said Clark. "I look forward to building upon the company's strong foundation and achieving continued success."
Hood Container Corporation is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hood Companies, Inc., a privately held company with diverse interests across various industries, including wood products, building materials, and packaging.
