International Paper has announced that Tom Plath, the Senior Vice President of Human Resources and Corporate Affairs, will leave the company at the end of 2024.
Plath has been with International Paper for 33 years, holding various roles in HR, operations, marketing, and general management. He became an officer in 2013 and was promoted to Senior Vice President in 2017. In 2023, his responsibilities expanded to include aviation, real estate, communications, sustainability, and government relations.
As International Paper begins the search for his successor, Plath’s current responsibilities will be reassigned immediately. To ensure a seamless transition, he will remain with the company in an advisory role through the end of 2024.
