International Paper has announced the appointment of Joy Roman as Senior Vice President, Chief People and Strategy Officer, effective February 1, 2025.

This newly created role combines oversight of talent development, organizational effectiveness, corporate strategy, sustainability, and communications, aiming to strengthen the connection between people and strategy within the company.

Joy Roman brings a wealth of experience to the position, including leadership roles at Berry Global, 3M, Toll Brothers, and De Beers Group. With a career foundation in management consulting at McKinsey & Company, she has built a strong track record in human resources and strategic planning.
