Domtar is proud to announce that Randy Adams, health and safety manager at Kingsport Mill, has been awarded the Pulp and Paper Safety Association’s (PPSA) Distinguished Service Award, the highest honor given by the association.
This prestigious recognition celebrates Adams' outstanding leadership and dedication to safety in the paper industry throughout his career.
With over four decades of experience, Adams has held various management roles since 1979, joining the paper industry in 2009. His diverse background spans production, quality, raw materials, and environmental health and safety.
Adams, who joined Kingsport Mill in April 2024, emphasizes the importance of building lasting relationships and treating health and safety as core values. "People don't care how much you know until they know how much you care," Adams states, highlighting his approach to partnering with employees for safety success.
Troy Wilson, Kingsport Mill Manager, commends Adams' contribution: "Randy is very deserving of this award, not only for his work at our mill but for his successful career in the health and safety field."
