The Paper Excellence Group has announced the appointment of Luc Theriault as President of its Wood Products business unit, effective August 26, 2024.
Theriault, who previously held several leadership roles at Resolute Forest Products from 2002 to 2020, including Senior Vice President of Wood Products, brings extensive industry experience to his new position. His leadership was pivotal in shaping business strategy, enhancing safety programs, and optimizing operations, contributing significantly to Resolute's growth.
John Williams, Non-Executive Chairman of Paper Excellence Group, expressed confidence in Theriault's appointment, highlighting his deep understanding of the business and innovative approach. Theriault will oversee all legacy Resolute wood products operations, ensuring profitable and sustainable growth while maintaining strong stakeholder relationships.
Theriault, who returns to the industry after a brief hiatus, stated, "I look forward to working with our talented team to build on our past successes and create new opportunities for growth and innovation."
The Paper Excellence Group, which includes subsidiaries Domtar Corporation and Resolute Forest Products, operates nearly 60 locations across the Americas and Europe, producing a wide range of pulp, paper, packaging, tissue, and wood products.
