Rottneros AB has appointed Magnus Wikström as acting President and CEO, effective February 20, 2026, following the departure of long-time chief executive Lennart Eberleh.
Wikström has served on Rottneros’ Board of Directors since 2023 and will remain a board member while assuming the interim executive role. The company said the recruitment process for a permanent President and CEO is ongoing.
According to the board, Wikström brings extensive industry experience and deep familiarity with Rottneros’ operations. He holds a PhD in Paper Technology and has previously held senior leadership roles at Billerud and Korsnäs AB.
“Magnus has solid industry expertise and strong knowledge of Rottneros through his board work,” said Per Lundeen, Chairman of the Board. “He is well suited to lead the company while we finalize a permanent solution.”
The board also acknowledged the contribution of Lennart Eberleh, who has led the group since 2016 and played a central role in its development over nearly a decade.
Rottneros is a Sweden-based pulp producer specializing in high-quality mechanical and chemical pulp. The group operates production sites in Sweden and Finland and serves customers in packaging, paper, and specialty applications.
