MM Kotkamills has officially named Marko Pekkola its new CEO, starting January 1, 2025.
For the past year, Pekkola has worked with this company as its Deputy CEO and Chief Technology Officer, which has allowed him to contribute significantly to the firm’s technological and operational strategies and developments.
With the knowledge gained over the years at MM Kotkamills, Pekkola is likely to guide the company through its next growth phase. His appointment occurred alongside the company’s push for paperboard and packaging innovations, which, according to the company’s advice, were environmentally friendly.
MM Kotkamills mill specialises in virgin fibre cartonboard (FBB) for food service and other demanding applications, as well as saturating kraft paper (SKP) for high pressure laminates. MM Kotkamills’ portfolio of lightweight FBB includes grades with a water-based dispersion barrier against moisture and grease.
