Ahlstrom has announced that Sophie Haan, Executive Vice President of the Protective Materials division and a member of the Executive Leadership Team, will be leaving the company at the end of January 2025 to pursue a new career opportunity.
The company has initiated the search for her successor, aiming for a smooth transition in leadership.
Helen Mets, Ahlstrom’s President and CEO, expressed gratitude for Haan’s contributions: “Her dedication and leadership have positively impacted our team and supported our growth transformation. I wish her success in her future endeavors.”
Haan also reflected on her tenure: “I’ve truly enjoyed my time at Ahlstrom and am proud to have contributed to its transformation into a sustainable specialty materials company.”
Ahlstrom, a global leader in sustainable specialty materials, operates across three divisions—Filtration and Life Sciences, Food and Consumer Packaging, and Protective Materials. In 2023, the company achieved net sales of EUR 3.0 billion and employs approximately 7,000 people worldwide.
