Metsä Fibre has appointed Timo Ahonen as Senior Vice President, Pulp Production, effective August 1, 2025.
He will also join the company’s Management Team and report to CEO Ismo Nousiainen.
Ahonen currently serves as Vice President of Metsä Board’s Tako board mill. He succeeds Mikko Nieminen, who will move to Metsä Tissue as SVP, Technology.
Metsä Fibre, part of Metsä Group, produces pulp, sawn timber, and bioproducts such as bioenergy and biochemicals. In 2024, the company reported sales of €2.3 billion and employs approximately 1,500 people.
