Lecta is strengthening its position in the wet-glue label market with a portfolio of specialty papers designed to combine shelf appeal, converting performance and more responsible packaging solutions.
The company’s range includes both white and metallized papers intended for wet-glue labels used in beverages, food products, hygiene items and cleaning products. Lecta said the papers are engineered to support high-speed bottling lines while delivering strong printability, efficient ink drying and consistent labelling performance.
The portfolio is built around two product families: Creaset, Lecta’s one-side coated paper range, and Metalvac, its metallized paper line.
According to the company, Creaset papers are designed for standard and wraparound labels and are available in gloss and high-gloss finishes. The range also includes grease-resistant grades for food labelling without added PFAS, as well as high wet-strength and alkali-resistant papers developed for returnable bottle applications.
Metalvac papers target premium packaging segments such as beer, wine and spirits, where metallic finishes are used to enhance shelf visibility and brand positioning. Lecta said the products are compatible with UV-curing inks and designed to maintain performance in high-moisture environments and returnable bottle systems.
The company said the portfolio is intended to help converters and brand owners improve operational efficiency while reducing waste and optimizing the use of raw materials and energy throughout the packaging value chain.
Lecta added that the range reflects growing market demand for packaging materials that combine visual differentiation, industrial reliability and sustainability considerations.
Lecta manufactures specialty papers for labels, packaging, publishing and functional applications. The company operates production facilities in Europe and develops paper solutions for a range of industrial and consumer markets.
