Accolades for Resolute employees
Two well-deserving employees earned accolades for outstanding achievement in their field. Claudia Roberge, superintendent, Health and Safety, at our Lac-Saint-Jean and Mauricie (Quebec) woodlands operations, took bronze in the Female Achiever/Committed Professional of the Year category at the Globee® Awards for Women in Business, while Alexis Bolduc-Gagnon, superintendent, Health and Safety, at our Dolbeau (Quebec) paper mill won the Rising Star Award at the Forest Products Association of Canada’s Awards of Excellence.
Building a diverse and inclusive culture
Last year, Resolute’s Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DE&I) Advisory Committee implemented an exhaustive program of activities in line with a new strategy in order to provide education and increase awareness around DE&I challenges; promote inclusive behavior and language; and encourage constructive, respectful conversations across the organization. These efforts were recognized with a Stevie® Award for Great Employers®Stevie® Award for Great Employers (Employer of the Year – Manufacturing) as well as the Diversity and Inclusion Award at The Norns Awards.
Innovative products drive a circular economy
In April 2023, Resolute inaugurated a plant producing cellulose filaments, an innovative wood-based biomaterial, in Saguenay (Quebec). The new construction and product line received three distinctions: a Sustainable Innovation Award at the SEAL Business Sustainability Awards; a gold Stevie award at the 20th annual International Business Awards® (IBAs) in the Sustainability Product of the Year (Canada and U.S.A.) category; and a Sustainability Product of the Year Award at the Business Intelligence Group (BIG) Sustainability Awards.
Resolute was also named Company of the Year – Manufacturing at the Globee Awards for Leadership for excellence in manufacturing, driving innovation and delivering high-quality products with precision and efficiency.
