Hood Container to Shut Down Simpsonville Facility

Hood Container Corporation has revealed plans to close its Simpsonville facility (South Carolina) at 1224 Old Stage Road by June 15, 2025. 

The closure will result in 60 employees being laid off, as outlined in a Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN) submitted to the South Carolina Department of Employment and Workforce on April 15.

The Simpsonville plant focuses on producing corrugated packaging and offering warehousing services. Hood Container, a family-owned business, operates in various areas of the paper and packaging sector, including containerboard, kraft paper, corrugated packaging, high-graphic displays, and contract packaging.
