Smurfit Westrock Rises in TIME’s 2026 Ranking

Industry News

Smurfit Westrock ranked 190th in TIME’s World’s Best Companies 2026 list, moving up 15 places from the previous year and securing its third consecutive inclusion.

The packaging producer also placed 12th in the engineering, manufacturing and medical technology category, according to its announcement.

The analysis uses an independent methodology developed by TIME and Statista to assess companies across three dimensions: employee satisfaction, revenue growth and sustainability transparency.

In connection with the recognition, Smurfit Westrock highlighted the launch of its Better Planet Targets and the issuance of more than $1.3 billion in green bonds, both covered in its 2025 Sustainability Report.

President and CEO Tony Smurfit said the recognition reflected the company’s performance-focused culture and the work of its employees.

Smurfit Westrock was also included in the Forbes Global 2000 earlier this year.
