Submit Abstracts Before 5 February 2025
Special Topics for 2025
The organizers of this year’s conference are requesting abstract submissions in three additional focus areas:
- Molded and Formed Biosourced Materials– There is increased interest in the development of products using dry molded, wet molded, or foamed cellulose and other biosourced materials, especially for improvements in circular economy and single-use packaging replacements.
- Cellulose Product Handling and Quality– Cost effective and long-term transportation and storage of cellulose requires advances in dewatering technologies, temperature management, stability, redispersion, etc.
- Biobased Coatings– Cellulose, chitin, and other biosourced materials offer many advantages as a coating material, including increased scratch resistance, gas barrier properties, flame resistance, and compatibilization of filler materials.
The deadline to submit abstracts is 5 February 2025. Submit a title and 300-word (or shorter) abstract via TAPPI's Speaker Management System.
All submissions are peer reviewed by the conference co-chairs and Nano Division Research Subcommittees.
Student Poster Submissions
Are you a student, graduate student, or young professional new to the renewable nanotechnology industry? Have you successfully conducted research, implemented a project, or have an idea for a project that sustainably drives our industry forward? The student poster session allows you to display your research work in poster format.
The Student Poster Competition and judging takes place at TAPPI Nano 2025. The poster session happens at the same time as the Student Poster Competition. Delegates can visit the poster session as judges evaluate student posters for cash prizes. The Technical Program Committee appoints a select group to review all competition entries.
The deadline for all poster submissions is 5 February 2025. All submissions are due by the deadline for competition consideration (simply use the Speaker Management System to submit your poster abstract). Due to the many submissions received, competition organizers cannot guarantee acceptance of entries received after the deadline.
