The PACWEST Conference continues a tradition that began more than six decades ago, tracing its origins to the “IBMP Waiting Room #6” organized in 1955.
In 1962, this early group of suppliers formalized a lasting partnership with Western Canada’s pulp and paper industry, establishing the annual joint conference that remains a key gathering for the sector.
The 2026 edition will once again feature high-value technical sessions, including presentations competing for the respected Eagle Trophy, awarded for the best technical paper. The event is also known for its strong networking environment, bringing together industry leaders and professionals to share knowledge and strengthen long-standing relationships. In addition, proceeds from the conference help fund scholarships for students pursuing careers in the industry.
PACWEST 2026 will take place from May 23–30, 2026, at the Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge in Jasper, Alberta.
Registration opens on January 23, 2026.
