Procter & Gamble has announced that Shailesh Jejurikar, currently Chief Operating Officer, will become the company’s next President and Chief Executive Officer, effective January 1, 2026.

He will succeed Jon Moeller, who will assume the role of Executive Chairman on the same date.

The leadership transition marks a new chapter for the global consumer goods giant, following years of sustained growth and strategic transformation under Moeller’s leadership. Jejurikar has also been nominated to stand for election to the Board of Directors at P&G’s annual shareholder meeting in October 2025.

“Shailesh is an outstanding leader who has made substantial contributions across our global businesses,” said Joe Jimenez, Lead Director of P&G’s Board. “He is well-positioned to lead P&G into its next phase of growth.”

Jejurikar, who joined P&G in 1989, has held senior leadership roles in multiple business units and geographies, including Fabric Care, Home Care, and Enterprise Markets. He has played a key role in strengthening P&G’s global operations and advancing its strategic focus on innovation, operational excellence, and supply chain performance.

“I am honored to serve as P&G’s CEO,” said Jejurikar. “The strength of our people, brands, and innovation capabilities gives me great confidence in our future.”

Moeller, who has served as CEO since 2021, will continue to provide strategic guidance to the company as Executive Chairman. “It has been an honor to lead P&G. I look forward to supporting Shailesh and the team as they continue to win with consumers and drive value for shareholders,” he said.
