Bellmer GmbH, a German-based international supplier of paper and board machinery, has announced the acquisition of Cellwood Machinery AB, a Swedish manufacturer known for its waste paper recycling and bioenergy pre-treatment systems.
The deal, agreed in mid-September 2025, is expected to close by the end of October.
Founded in Nässjö, Sweden, Cellwood is recognized as the world’s leading supplier of dispersing systems for paper recycling, with more than 700 installations worldwide. Its product portfolio includes the Metrans conveying system, the Grubbens Pulper, and the Algas Microfilter, all noted for energy efficiency, improved paper quality, and sustainable resource use.
“This acquisition aligns perfectly with our vision to deliver innovative and sustainable solutions to the paper industry,” said Martin Kollmar, President of Bellmer GmbH. “We are excited to welcome Cellwood’s expertise and commitment into our group.”
Cellwood brings to Bellmer not only its product expertise but also an established international presence, with subsidiaries in Germany, Canada, and China, as well as sales and service teams in Vietnam and India. Its pilot plant in Sweden provides facilities for customer trials and training.
Henrik Lefvert, Managing Director of Cellwood Machinery AB, said the decision to join Bellmer reflects strong alignment between two family-owned companies with long-term strategies: “Bellmer’s values and long-term perspective mirror our own, and we are confident this partnership will bring new opportunities for our customers and employees worldwide.”
