Heinzel Group released its 2024 results, showcasing strategic growth and sustainability progress, alongside the appointment of Daniela Lorenzer as CFO, effective June 1, 2025.
The group reported net sales of EUR 2,164.4 million, driven in part by the integration of the Steyrermühl site’s PM6. Notably, Heinzel achieved a 4.7% reduction in CO₂ emissions in 2024, bringing their total reduction to 23.7% since 2021.
Production reached 1.31 million tons of pulp and paper, with sales totaling 3.17 million tons. EBITDA stood at EUR 101.9 million, and investments in property, plant, and equipment reached EUR 107.8 million.
The rebuild of PM11 at Laakirchen, which started containerboard production on April 1, 2025, represents a significant expansion into sustainable packaging papers.
CEO Sebastian Heinzel emphasized the group's resilience in a challenging economic environment, citing high energy costs. The 2024 Sustainability and Annual Report highlights the theme of "Together," reflecting the company's collaborative approach.
