Oppboga Bruk AB has been selected by Stora Enso as a key partner for the lamination and distribution of Ensocoat 2S™, the premium solid bleached board designed for luxury packaging and high-end graphics.
The collaboration focuses on the 450, 500, and 600 gsm grades of the two-side fully coated paperboard.
The partnership leverages Oppboga Bruk’s proximity to Stora Enso’s production facility and its extensive inventory of raw paper reels, ensuring fast and efficient service across Europe. “Our Scandinavian neighbour will ensure high-quality service thanks to their proximity to our manufacturing plant,” said Tomas Larsson, Head of Product Line SBS, FBB, Liner & Book Paper at Stora Enso.
This announcement follows Oppboga Bruk’s recent investment in a state-of-the-art, purpose-built lamination machine. The 50-meter-long, 110-ton machine was inaugurated in September 2024 and marks a significant upgrade in both production capacity and quality. It features a system that constantly monitors and adjusts the board’s moisture profile, delivering consistently flat and high-performance laminated sheets.
Andrew Robinson, CEO of Oppboga Bruk, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership: “We are proud to work with Stora Enso and to help promote Ensocoat 2S™ across the more than 40 countries where Oppboga is active.”
Based in Fellingsbro, Sweden, Oppboga Bruk has over 120 years of expertise in producing high-quality multiply paperboard for signs, displays, and premium packaging. The company is committed to replacing plastics with recyclable, FSC-certified alternatives for indoor and outdoor use.
Stora Enso, a global leader in renewable packaging and biomaterials, views the partnership as part of its ongoing effort to scale sustainable, high-quality packaging solutions across its global markets.
