The Navigator Company is expanding its European tissue business through a broader partnership with Procter & Gamble, extending branded household paper products into France and Spain as it targets higher-value tissue segments.
The partnership initially focused on kitchen towel products associated with the Flash brand in the United Kingdom. Navigator said the collaboration is now being expanded into additional markets, including Spain and France, where the products will be marketed under the established D. Limpio and Mr. Propre brands.
The Portuguese producer said the initiative supports its strategy to strengthen its presence in more differentiated tissue categories through branded consumer products.
According to the company, the partnership combines P&G’s global consumer brands with Navigator’s manufacturing capabilities, operational expertise, innovation capacity and sustainability positioning. The collaboration includes the development and commercialization of multi-purpose rolls and kitchen towels designed for everyday household use.
Navigator said the move also reinforces its value proposition with retail partners by combining recognized brands with consistent product quality, two factors the company identified as important drivers for category growth.
The expansion comes as Navigator continues to scale its tissue operations across Europe following recent acquisitions. In 2023, the company acquired the consumer tissue business of Spain-based Gomà-Camps, strengthening its position in the Iberian market. In 2024, Navigator also completed the acquisition of the United Kingdom’s Accrol Group Holdings, further expanding its footprint in Western Europe.
Navigator currently has an annual tissue production capacity of 165,000 tonnes and converting capacity of 310,000 tonnes.
The Navigator Company is an integrated producer of pulp, paper, tissue, sustainable packaging and bioenergy products. Headquartered in Portugal, the company exports products to 117 countries and operates certified forest assets, pulp and paper mills, tissue operations and renewable energy facilities.
