Palm Group has acquired a 50% stake in Power Packaging s.r.o. in the Czech Republic, expanding its presence in the market for complex corrugated packaging.

The joint venture was completed in November 2025 and reinforces Palm’s strategy to grow its packaging division.

Power Packaging, based in Nýrsko in western Czechia, specializes in customized and labour-intensive corrugated packaging. The company generates annual revenues of approximately EUR 4 million.

Palm said the partnership will combine Power Packaging’s technical expertise with Palm’s existing production and sales network across Europe. The structure of the joint venture also ensures that Power Packaging will continue to operate as a family-owned business, sharing similar values and operational principles.

“By partnering with Palm, we have gained a strategically important partner who shares our goals and supports us in successfully developing major international projects, including those in the East,” said Ralph Wakolbinger, Managing Director of Power Packaging. “Through close collaboration, we create new synergies, strengthen our market position and set important impulses for sustainable growth.”

Dr. Marina Palm, CEO of Palm, said the move reinforces the group’s competitive position in Europe.

“Through this joint venture, we are strengthening our position in the European market for complex packaging solutions and will be able to offer our customers an even broader product range in future,” she said.

Power Packaging will continue to operate within its existing organizational structure and under the current management team.

Palm is a European paper and packaging group specializing in recycled containerboard and corrugated packaging. The company operates paper mills and converting plants across several European markets, supplying packaging solutions for industrial and consumer goods. Palm remains a family-owned business and focuses on sustainable fiber-based products and long-term development in the packaging sector.
