Mativ Holdings, Inc. has appointed Shruti Singhal as its new President and CEO, effective immediately.
Singhal, a member of Mativ’s Board of Directors, succeeds Julie Schertell, who is stepping down from her leadership role.
With extensive experience in business transformation and operational execution, Singhal has held leadership roles at companies such as DSM, Solenis, and The Dow Chemical Company. As CEO, he aims to accelerate Mativ’s turnaround efforts by enhancing profitability and operational efficiency.
“Mativ has a strong core business with innovative specialty materials. We will focus on executing our strategy and driving sustainable value creation,” Singhal stated.
Mativ has already taken steps to reduce costs, cutting over $20 million in non-operating expenses in 2024. A comprehensive review of its cost structure is underway to identify further savings.
