Essity has completed the acquisition of Edgewell’s feminine care business in North America, expanding its presence in the region.

The transaction, consolidated as of February 2, 2026, increased group sales by about 1.1% and nearly doubles Essity’s Personal Care footprint in North America.

The company said the deal supports its strategy to grow in higher-return categories, particularly in feminine care and incontinence products.

In addition to the acquisition, Essity reported continued product innovation during the quarter, including upgrades to its TENA range, new diaper products under the Libero brand, and the launch of coreless tissue products in Europe.

The group also reorganized its operations into four business areas, a structural change aimed at accelerating growth and improving execution.

While volumes increased and market shares expanded in several segments, the company reported weaker performance in Consumer Tissue, partly due to lower private label sales.

Essity is a global hygiene and health company headquartered in Sweden, producing tissue, personal care and medical solutions.
